Dual Enrollment - The Advantages and the Barriers

The workshop will cover the various ways that high school academy students can enroll in college classes, the apparent advantages to them, and the most serious barriers to establishing early college enrollment as a feature of an academy program. Preliminary findings about James Irvine-funded on-going research by Columbia Teacher College's Center for Community College Research (CCRC) will be shared. Based on this work, a new guide on this topic will be previewed.
