Advanced Curriculum Integration: Assuring Rigor through the Process

Project-based, integrated curriculum is often promoted and used in pathways and academies, but is it getting the results we hoped for? This workshop will introduce you to new ways to begin the process of ensuring the rigor while providing the relevance in multidisciplinary integrated curriculum. Participants will use the video of a teacher team in action in order to unpack the elements critical to the curriculum development process and practice using a framework with which to critique and evaluate existing integrated projects. You will also be guided through the curriculum development, focusing on in-depth practice with the performance mapping process that ensures the rigor.
