As a Conference Committee we want to welcome you to Sacramento for 2011! In a continued effort to maximize the efficiency and the benefits of our professional development delivery system pertaining to Career Technical Education (CTE), the California Career Pathway Consortia and the California Partnership Academies will again join forces as the 17th annual Educating for Career Conference and the 23rd annual California Partnership Academies Conference becomes the California Career Pathways Consortia and California Partnership Academies Educating for Careers Conference. The theme for this year’s conference will be Focusing Education on the Future.

In order to facilitate our attendance more efficiently, the conference has moved to a much larger venue and there will be coded name-badges for vegetarian meals which will make it imperative for all conference attendees to wear their name badges to every meal function. With the larger capacity of the Sacramento Convention Center we do not anticipate having to close registration this year. The online registration will not be available after February 25, 2011, which will necessitate onsite registration after that date.

Quality professional development opportunities are key components in teacher effectiveness, improving student academic attainment, and closing achievement gaps. The 2011 Educating for Careers Focusing Education on the Future Conference with its more than 135 breakout session opportunities promises to be the place to be for professional development!
